Where is it?

Hi Ellie,

It’s about 2 miles from where I’m sitting at the moment, along a stretch of road I normally follow into the centre of Riyadh. The Golden Mile as we expats know it ( a rather tongue in cheek reference to the Blackpool sea front), is where there are a whole bunch of fun fairs, stalls and assorted shops lining the road. This particular shop is one of a block that seems to have been abandoned at some point, along with the fair that sits behind it. This one shows no evidence of its former trade, if it ever had one, but some of the others can be tied into some form of occupancy, notably an Arabic food outlet. Perhaps I should process one of the images I have of that, though I’m not sure the composition is up to much.

So it is there … it’s a great pic. Eerie.
