Izdihar - Magic Kingdom Escapology

Well, not really. Just a vague reference to the hour spent yesterday afternoon with one of the guys from work playing guitar. He'd come to collect his rather worn 90s Gibson Les Paul. I do a bit of work on guitars on the quiet (mostly on my own) and he'd asked me to do a set-up on it - probably more desperately need than any other guitar I've had my hands on. He seemed pleased enough with the end result and even threatened to play it at a gig this afternoon.

Most of the rest of the afternoon just went to prove what an awful guitarist I am in comparison to anyone that actually tries a little bit - must learn to put a little more effort in. Still, at least I managed to pick up the basic chords for Hendrix' "Hey Joe".

Here's a picture of that Les Paul though. Apparently it used to be wine red, but it's been refinished at some point.

Hey ho, I'm not very good at this blogging lark am I? Here one minute, gone the next several months. Getting damned hot out here at the moment, but on the positive side it's nearly time for a trip back home for a few weeks to rest and lay up at home.

Anyway, it's now bedtime, so off I go to read a few more pages of Harry Potter.

Well I did promise a few people an early shot of Kian once I had some. So here's one I took about an hour ago, post feed.

As of this morning, I'm now an uncle for the third time. My sister had a boy around 06:40 this morning. He's called Kian David and is a healthy 7lb 6oz. All are doing well I'm told.

Still raining but there are at least signs of improvement. Actually, since I took that shot it looks like it's stopped raining - things are just dripping a little.
